Sorcerer — Elemental Glass Cannon
Role: Ranged DPS / AoE · Difficulty: Medium
The Sorcerer channels elemental magic into devastating area damage. Great for farming — you can melt monster packs faster than any other class — but you pay for it with low defense.
- Strengths: Highest burst potential, excellent AoE, strong in co-op as the damage engine.
- Weaknesses: Squishy, cooldown-dependent, punished hard by mistakes.
- Best for: Players who love big numbers and have decent positioning instincts.
- Build: See our Sorcerer build guide.
Shadowstrix — The Stealth Assassin
Role: Melee Assassin · Difficulty: Hard
The Shadowstrix specializes in stealth, mobility and deadly burst combos — the class built for ambushing other players and disappearing with the loot.
- Strengths: Highest single-target burst, superior escapes, the best class for PvP.
- Weaknesses: Fragile, positioning-reliant, demanding rotation.
- Best for: Experienced extraction/PvP players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward gameplay.
- Build: See our Shadowstrix build guide.
Withered Knight — The Undying Front Line
Role: Tank / Bruiser · Difficulty: Easy
The Withered Knight is a deathless brawler who absorbs punishment and keeps fighting. The most forgiving class for learning the game’s PvE threats.
- Strengths: Excellent survivability, great at drawing aggro in co-op, very forgiving.
- Weaknesses: Lower mobility, slower clear speed, weaker burst.
- Best for: New players and anyone who hates dying with a full loot bag.
- Build: See our Withered Knight build guide.
Mercenary — The All-Rounder
Role: Balanced / Hybrid · Difficulty: Easy
The Mercenary is the game’s jack-of-all-trades: solid damage, solid defense, versatile weaponry. The recommended starter class for almost everyone.
- Strengths: No glaring weaknesses, adapts to any situation, easiest to gear.
- Weaknesses: No specialty — master of none.
- Best for: First-time players, solo players, anyone who wants flexibility.
- Build: See our Mercenary build guide.
Blackarrow — The Precision Ranger
Role: Ranged DPS / Utility · Difficulty: Medium
The Blackarrow fights from range with bows, crossbows and traps — excellent at controlling space and extracting safely from distance.
- Strengths: Safe range, strong zone control, great for solo play.
- Weaknesses: Vulnerable in close quarters, requires positioning discipline.
- Best for: Patient players who prefer controlling engagements.
- Build: See our Blackarrow build guide.
Seer — The Eyes of the Party
Role: Support / Utility · Difficulty: Medium
The Seer buffs allies, debuffs enemies and reveals threats — the class that makes good teams great. Less flashy, but invaluable in co-op.
- Strengths: Massive team utility, map/vision advantage, strong in coordinated groups.
- Weaknesses: Weaker solo damage, relies on teammates to shine.
- Best for: Co-op players and support mains.
- Build: See our Seer build guide.
Which Class Should You Pick?
First extraction game ever?
Mercenary. Balanced, forgiving, and it teaches you every system without punishing your mistakes. Withered Knight is the alternative if you prefer tanking.
Coming from other ARPGs / soulslikes?
Sorcerer (if you like casters) or Blackarrow (if you like ranged). Both reward the positioning instincts you already have.
PvP-focused?
Shadowstrix is the standout for player combat — stealth ambushes are the strongest PvP play pattern in the game.
Playing with friends?
Seer if your team lacks support, otherwise Withered Knight to anchor the front line.
