The camp is the shared hub of Mistfall Hunter — every character you create uses the same camp, and every upgrade you buy benefits all of them. It’s the best investment in the game, and this guide explains what to upgrade first.

What the Camp Provides
| Facility | Function |
|---|---|
| Storage | Holds gear and materials between runs |
| Repair station | Fixes damaged equipment |
| Auction House | Buy/sell gear and drops (see Auction House guide) |
| Facility upgrades | Improve capacity, speed and efficiency |
| Unlockable buildings | New facilities unlocked via progression |
Upgrade Priority (The Order That Works)
1. Storage & Bag Capacity (First)
Why: More storage = more loot capacity per run = more Celestigold per extract. It’s the highest-ROI upgrade in the game.
Buy it: As soon as you can afford the first tier. Every tier pays for itself within a few runs.
2. Repair Efficiency
Why: Gear maintenance is a recurring cost. Cheaper/faster repairs mean more profit per run and less downtime.
3. Facility Speed / Efficiency
Why: Faster facilities mean less camp time and more run time — the compounding upgrade for serious players.
4. Cosmetic / Late-Game Upgrades
Why: Only after the functional upgrades — these are luxury spend.
How to Fund Upgrades
Camp upgrades cost Celestigold — the same currency as the Auction House. The fastest funding loop:
- Farm with the Celestigold routes.
- Sell unneeded drops on the Auction House instead of vendoring.
- Re-invest in storage upgrades.
- Repeat — the loop compounds quickly.
Camp Tips
- Check facilities after every level-up — new unlocks appear at progression milestones.
- All characters share upgrades — this is why the camp is the best first investment.
- Repair between every run — damaged gear is a hidden stat loss. See the beginner guide tip #5.
- Bag organization matters — use the combat bag system to separate loadout from loot.
Facility Unlock Checklist
Facilities don’t all start unlocked. Track your camp progression:
- Storage — available at camp start; upgrade tier 1 immediately
- Repair station — unlock early; upgrade efficiency second
- Auction House — unlocks as you progress; check after major quests
- Seasonal / event facilities — appear with live events; check the patch notes for what’s live
Set a habit: after every level-up and every quest chapter, walk the camp and check for new buildings.
Common Camp Mistakes
- Spending all Celestigold on gear — camp upgrades compound across all characters; a storage upgrade beats one nice item.
- Ignoring repair efficiency — repair costs add up; the efficiency upgrade pays for itself within days of play.
- Forgetting to check facilities after leveling — new buildings unlock at milestones; a quick check after each level-up is cheap insurance.
- Vendoring instead of selling — the Auction House funds camp upgrades much faster than vendor prices.
Quick Checklist
- Buy storage tier 1 as soon as possible
- Upgrade repair efficiency second
- Check for new facilities after each level-up
- Never enter a run with damaged gear
- Re-invest farm income into the camp
