Map Overview

Map Risk Level Best For Key POIs
Sunken District Medium Farming Treasure rooms, vault, chapel tower
Old City Ruins Low Beginners, ciphers Prayer temple, low-level ruins
Mistveil Crossing High PvP, high-risk loot Contested extracts, premium loot

Sunken District

The Sunken District is the most popular map in the game — the farming hub.

Key POIs

  • Treasure rooms (2 side + 1 central): The core farming content. Two smaller rooms flank the central vault. High-value loot spawns with moderate monster pressure.
  • Ancient vault (Old World Cipher): Behind the celestial-mural door — see the Old World Cipher solution.
  • Chapel bell tower (Score Plucking Cipher): The tallest building — see the Score Plucking Cipher solution.
  • North gate extract: The safest extract, away from the PvP hot zones.

Farming Route

Enter → clear both side treasure rooms → loot the central vault → extract north. Full loop: 8–12 minutes. See the Celestigold farming guide for the detailed route.

Old City Ruins

The Old City Ruins is the beginner map — light PvE, low risk, and home to the game’s most famous puzzle.

Key POIs

  • Collapsed temple (Prayer Cipher): The monster-free temple with six prayer statues — see the Prayer Cipher solution.
  • Low-level ruins (east): Light mobs, safe looting for fresh characters.
  • South extract point: The safest extract on the map.

What It’s For

  • New players learning the game (see the beginner guide).
  • The Prayer Cipher cosmetic farm — repeatable income.
  • Low-risk Celestigold for fresh characters.

Mistveil Crossing

The Mistveil Crossing is the high-risk, high-reward map — premium loot, contested extracts and constant PvP.

Key POIs

  • Contested central extract: Pays a bonus if you survive the extract — the highest-stakes point in the game.
  • Premium loot zones: Higher-tier gear and materials than other maps.
  • Ambush chokepoints: Known ambush spots — the tips & tricks guide covers how to handle them.

What It’s For

Map Navigation Tips

  1. Learn 2–3 extract points per map — availability changes mid-run. See the extraction guide.
  2. Sound cues reveal players early — the mist limits vision, audio is your radar. See the tips & tricks.
  3. Farming with purpose — every map has an optimal route; wandering loses money. Check the Celestigold routes.
  4. Cipher locations are safe zones — puzzle areas are monster-free, useful extraction anchors.

Map Progression Path

Follow this order as a new player:

  1. Old City Ruins (levels 1–8) — learn the game, solve the Prayer Cipher, build your first Celestigold.
  2. Sunken District (levels 8–15) — the farming hub; treasure rooms and the two other ciphers live here.
  3. Mistveil Crossing (15+ with a real build) — premium loot and PvP; come geared from the best builds page.

Rushing to Mistveil Crossing before your build is ready is the fastest way to lose everything — the extraction guide covers why.

Start Here

Start with the Old City Ruins, graduate to the Sunken District for farming, and save Mistveil Crossing until your build is ready. Check the camp upgrades guide to prepare your base before longer runs.
